Not long ago a light-weighted case to protect iPhone 5, was launched by the San Diego based company LifeProof. The company states that the case is water proof, shok proof, dirt proof and snow proof, so it is assumed to withstand dirt, scratches, drops and other hazards. They also re-considered the audio part such as the speakers, controls for volume, cameras and touch screen. The charge port, headphone jack, microphones are also protected by the new case. Lifeproof ensures that it dows not negatively influence the sound, no it even improves it, they say. Of course severe testing was needed to be sure of full proof functionality. The iPhone 5 Lifeproof Fre case applied the military standards for these tests, such as the IP-68 classification which requires resistance against water, dirt, snow and drops.
